The working group visited the ancient "Hushyor" neighborhood in the So'x district as part of the implementation of the decree on "Measures to improve the effectiveness of creating a safe environment and preventing crime in the Republic's neighborhoods by 2025."The working group, along with the district sector leaders, visited the So'x district (an enclave area), particularly the "Qala" and ancient "Hushyor" neighborhoods. Regarding the ancient "Hushyor," here is some information: The life and activities of the great statesman, commander, and founder of the mighty empire, Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, are full of various extraordinary events. The great commander, aiming to restore the Timurid dynasty and seize the throne of the Timurids, marched towards Samarkand in 1495, 1497, and 1500. He successfully took the Samarkand throne twice. During these years, when Babur was moving from Aksikat towards Samarkand, many fortresses and cities served as shelters for him and his army along the way. Specifically, during the military campaign of 1497, the district centers of Ravon and Khoshyor in the So'x region of the Fergana Valley were places where Babur and his army stayed. According to sources, the army stayed in Ravon and Khoshyor for 11 months, and from there, reserve soldiers, food, and weapons were gathered for continued military operations towards Samarkand. More detailed information about this is found in the book "Babur in So'x and Khoshyor" by the historian Ali Muhammadkhon Polodi. Therefore, for Hazrat Babur, the So'x and Hushyor regions and their inhabitants played a key role in his efforts to regain the Timurid throne from the Shaybanids and to restore the empire in a short period. Additionally, the working group visited a sports complex in the So'x district, operated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and got acquainted with the opportunities provided to the youth. In the areas with severe criminal conditions in the So'x district, targeted studies are being carried out based on scientific and practical approaches to identify the root causes of crime and develop scientifically grounded, targeted recommendations to eliminate them. During the studies, recommendations are being made to ensure the creation of a safe environment in each neighborhood by effectively implementing social prevention measures for each "Mahalla Group."
