One of the main goals of the modern education system is to create a system of educating a perfect person who is highly cultured, able to think systematically, and able to solve complex problems that may be encountered in the future.

In 1990, the Tashkent High Military Technical Education Center was established at the base of Higher Courses under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the former Soviet Union. In December of this year, the chair of "General and General Engineering Sciences" was founded.

Since 2002, the department has been named "Department of Natural and Technical Sciences". Newly introduced mathematical methods of planning and management, applied mechanics, chemistry, chemistry and chemical technologies, educational programs and thematic plans were developed and classes were launched in the department.

Since 2017, in connection with the reorganization of the MIA Tashkent Higher Military-Technical Educational Institution as the Military-Technical Institute, the department has been named "Department of Natural Sciences".

On the basis of the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 15, 2021 "On measures to further improve the system of training professional personnel in the field of public safety" No. PQ-5077 is a constituent unit of the University.

Purpose of the department:

Training of highly qualified competitive officers for the Republic's law enforcement agencies and the Armed Forces system, increasing their professional skills and scientific potential, conducting fundamental and practice-oriented scientific research on existing problems in the field, ensuring the practice of public safety based on the results of research development of scientifically based suggestions aimed at improvement.

in the field of scientific and methodical work - development of the scientific and methodical foundations of the educational process, provision of educational and methodological materials, modern education that serves to increase the labor productivity and quality and efficiency of the department's professors and teachers by studying foreign experience in this field introduction of technologies;

in the field of scientific-research works - to carry out priority directions, scientific-research works on ensuring public safety, taking into account the priority tasks of science and technology, information and communication technologies in the field of natural sciences, advanced world experience and international standards, and ensure that their results are put into practice;

in the field of organizational and methodical work - to evaluate the quality of education, conduct its analysis, as well as effectively organize other organizational and methodical activities based on world experience;

in the field of spiritual, moral and educational work - to help cadets, students and listeners to mature spiritually, intellectually, physically and morally and to respect national values, in the spirit of patriotism, respect for laws, national and universal values, harmful effects and educate in the spirit of being able to resist currents, to feel one's responsibility before the state and society, to understand the criteria of humanitarianism, international harmony, justice and the rule of law;

improvement and retraining of scientific-pedagogical personnel - implementation of specific purposeful work on the development of the personnel training system of the "Department of Natural Sciences" with rich intellectual and scientific-pedagogical skills that meets modern international standards.

More than 30 educational literature, including 14 textbooks, 22 study guides, and 4 scientific monographs have been published by professors and teachers of the department. Patents and certificates were also obtained for several inventions.

More than 10 scientific articles have been published in the "Scopus" database.

The results achieved in the Republican Science Olympiads:

- 1st place in mathematics in 2020;

- 1st and 2nd places in physics in 2021;

- 1st and 3rd places in mathematics and 1st and 2nd places in physics in 2024
