In 1990, the Tashkent High Military Technical Education Center was established at the base of Higher Courses under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the former Soviet Union. In December of this year, the chair of "General and General Engineering Sciences" was founded.

Since 2002, the department has been named "Department of Natural and Technical Sciences". Newly introduced mathematical methods of planning and management, applied mechanics, chemistry, chemistry and chemical technologies, educational programs and thematic plans were developed and classes were launched in the department.

Since 2017, in connection with the reorganization of the MIA Tashkent Higher Military-Technical Educational Institution as the Military-Technical Institute, the department has been named "Department of Natural Sciences".

On the basis of the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 15, 2021 "On measures to further improve the system of training professional personnel in the field of public safety" No. PQ-5077 is a constituent unit of the University.

Purpose of the department:

Training of highly qualified competitive officers for the Republic's law enforcement agencies and the Armed Forces system, increasing their professional skills and scientific potential, conducting fundamental and practice-oriented scientific research on existing problems in the field, ensuring the practice of public safety based on the results of research development of scientifically based suggestions aimed at improvement.

Application of modern forms and methods to the process of studying in a team. Introduction of advanced pedagogical and information and communication technologies. Training sessions are conducted by qualified professors and teachers. providing the base of the department with modern necessary educational and methodological manuals and literature. To ensure that the training is organized with the help of advanced interactive pedagogical technologies, which serves to strengthen the theoretical knowledge and skills of the cadets.
