On the initiative of the Departments of Organization of Educational and Ideological Work and Personal Safety of the University, in cooperation with the Tashkent Military Prosecutor’s Office, a round table was held with the university staff within the framework of “Crime Prevention Day” on the topics of “Preventing Religious Radicalization” and “Strengthening Military Discipline, Preventing Crime and Delinquency.” At the round table, which was held in a spirit of open dialogue, the military prosecutor of the city of Tashkent, Colonel Usarov Odil Avalbaevich, spoke about the dangers of religious radicalism to the military personnel, the crimes committed as a result of its influence, the measures taken, and also gave examples of the tragic fate of some military personnel and citizens. In addition, in his report, he also expressed his views on strengthening military discipline and preventing crime and delinquency.
In particular, he spoke about the changes aimed at comprehensively supporting military personnel and their family members, ensuring their rights and legitimate interests in our country, about innovations in improving legislation, and about the reforms carried out. It was noted that effective work is currently underway to improve legislation aimed at comprehensively supporting military personnel and ensuring their social protection in our country, reforms to enhance the prestige of military service in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and therefore emphasized that all categories of military personnel should not only prevent crime and delinquency, but also refrain from committing such negative actions themselves.
