Scientific Solutions to Psychological Issues in Military Service Activities

In the context of increasing threats related to the maintenance of peace and public safety, there is a growing need for a new approach to the psychological training of military personnel and staff, especially in the area of psychological self-regulation. On February 21, 2025, the Republic of Uzbekistan's University of Public Security hosted a national scientific-practical conference on the topic of "Psychological Self-Regulation of Military Personnel in Ensuring Public Security: Theory and Practice," based on international experience. The conference was attended by the academic staff, undergraduate students, students of the special faculty and master's program, independent researchers from the University of Public Security, and psychologists from the National Guard. At the scientific-practical conference, the following speakers made presentations: Professor of the Department of "Pedagogy and Psychology" at the Tashkent International University of Financial Management and Technologies, Doctor of Psychological Sciences (Dsc), Associate Professor R.H. Dushanov, Head of the National Guard Faculty at the National Defense University of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Colonel S.K. Imirov, Deputy Head of the Department of "Service Psychology and Professional Culture" at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Political Sciences (Dsc), Professor, Major N.T. Turgunova, and Lecturer of the Department of "Psychological Support of Service Activities" M.R. Kiyomkhodjaeva. The speakers addressed topics such as "Ways to Form Emotional and Volitional Stability in the Self-Regulation of Military Personnel," "Communication Issues in the Self-Regulation of Military Personnel," "Gender Characteristics of Psychological Self-Regulation in Military Personnel," "Legal Psychology and Legal Education as the Basis for Forming the Legal Culture of Cadets," and answered questions from the participants. The theoretical and practical proposals and recommendations presented at the conference on the issues of psychological self-regulation of military personnel significantly enhanced the scientific and practical value of the event.
