As previously reported, on February 25th of this year, the National Guard hosted the start of the phygital sports competition between the higher military educational institutions of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan at the University of Public Safety’s sports complex. The event was organized in cooperation with the Uzbekistan Phygital Sports Federation and the Cyber Sports Association. The heated matches concluded on February 27th. This year, the phygital sports competition among the cadets and listeners of the Armed Forces' higher military educational institutions was held for the first time at the University of Public Safety, organized by the Uzbekistan Digital Sports Federation and the Cyber Sports Association. The aim of this new type of sport, which combines both physical and cyber sports, was primarily to popularize digital sports among the Armed Forces' higher military educational institutions, as well as to support cadet and student organizations. During the competition, teams competed in football, basketball, tactical shooting, and drone racing within digital sports. In the intense matches, the team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations Academy took first place in the football category, while the University of Public Safety team secured second place, and the Customs Institute team claimed third place. In basketball, the University of Public Safety team took first place, the Ministry of Internal Affairs Academy took second place, and the Military Institute of Information and Communication Technologies and Communications took third. In tactical shooting, the University of Public Safety team took first place, followed by the Armed Forces Academy in second place and the Customs Institute team in third. In drone racing, the Military Institute of Information and Communication Technologies and Communications took first place, the University of Public Safety took second, and the Armed Forces Academy took third. As a result, the University of Public Safety team rose to the top of the overall standings. The Military Institute of Information and Communication Technologies and Communications took second place, and the Ministry of Emergency Situations Academy team claimed third.
