On March 14, 2025, the University of Public Safety of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a republican scientific and practical conference on the topic "Current Issues of Applying Artificial Intelligence in Economics," organized by the Department of Economic Disciplines. The main goal of the conference was to discuss the current issues of applying artificial intelligence in economics, the mechanisms and principles of its development, as well as to propose scientific and practical recommendations for improving the theoretical and methodological foundations of artificial intelligence application. The conference featured experts from the Center for Digital Economy Research under the Ministry of Digital Technologies, professors, researchers, practitioners, doctoral students, independent researchers, master’s students, and cadets of the University of Public Safety. The conference was opened by the Deputy Head of the University of Public Safety   Sh. Zulfiqorov, with an introductory speech. The event was moderated by Professor B. B. Valiyev. Among the speakers were the Deputy Director of the state institution "Center for Digital Economy Research" Z. Z. Shadmanov, Head of the Department of this center A. T. Niyazmuradov, Head of the MAAB Academy Sh. Ibragimov, Head of the Academic Department Ch. K. Mamedov, and university student A. D. Davronov. The conference discussed issues related to the use of artificial intelligence in various economic sectors, the role of human capital in the development of artificial intelligence and its impact on labor relations, pathways for utilizing artificial intelligence to ensure economic security, and directions for the digital transformation of public administration using artificial intelligence. Participants, including professors, researchers, independent scholars, students, and cadets, received answers to their questions during the discussions on the outlined topics. Opinions from scientists and several leading specialists on the conference topics were shared, and essential scientific and practical recommendations aimed at solving existing problems in the field were provided. The conference took place in an atmosphere rich in mutual debates and discussions. Following the event, a collection of submitted articles was published. At the conclusion of the conference, participants were awarded certificates and letters of appreciation from the administration.
