Thirty percent of our country consists of high mountains and foothill areas. Therefore, conducting combat training in mountainous conditions plays a significant role in ensuring our safety. A group of cadets from the National Guard Public Safety University took part in such a responsible training session. In the practical training held on the topic "Performing combat service duties in mountainous areas under winter conditions," third-year cadets of the National Guard Public Safety University participated. As the name suggests, the cadets adapted to various conditions in the snowy mountains, carried out search-and-rescue operations in complex ravines, provided emergency medical assistance, and conducted modern evacuation procedures. In places where the surroundings consisted only of snow, they found solutions for survival. The cadets also excelled in using service horses in the mountains. One of the toughest situations in mountainous areas during combat is the issue of shooting. As seen in the training, this task was excellently performed based on special tactics between high cliffs. A military serviceman in the mountains must not only shoot but also, when necessary, climb and descend steep cliffs with mountain gear, resembling skilled mountaineers. Additionally, the military personnel must be able to perform exercises in the snow successfully. The physical and mental condition of the personnel, as well as their ability to overcome natural challenges, undergoes toughening in such training exercises. The goal of the training was to develop practical skills for future commanders in managing their units skillfully in mountainous areas, and to reinforce the knowledge necessary for personnel to act correctly and efficiently in any climate conditions in the mountains. On the second day of the training, practical exercises were conducted with the cadets on the topic "Methods of descending from multi-story buildings with weapons." During this exercise, cadets carried out practical actions in multi-story buildings under combat conditions within the designated time. The objective was to form skills in the cadets for independent and effective handling of weapons in multi-story buildings. These practical training sessions, conducted with cadets from the Public Safety University, proved that the future security of our people rests in capable hands.
