First "Service Dogs Exhibition" Competition Held Among Inter-Agency Canine Specialists

On May 26, the first-ever "Service Dogs Exhibition" competition was held at the National Guard University of Public Safety. This event aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of canine specialists from Uzbekistan's law enforcement and Safety agencies, assess their professional competence, and promote participation in national and international competitions. Representatives from the International Police Association from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan observed the event with great interest. Canine specialists from the National Guard, State Safety Service, Ministry of Internal Affairs, State Customs Committee, and Ministry of Emergency Situations participated with their assigned service dogs. During the competition, the physical preparedness and professional skills of the canine specialists were evaluated, as well as their service dogs’ readiness in various nominations, including identifying the best canine specialists and performing essential tasks in extreme situations. The competition consisted of engaging tasks, and results were determined under the supervision of international judge Nina Makelova from Kazakhstan. Participants attempted to complete tasks with high accuracy according to established rules, including "General Obedience Course Exercises" (commands such as sit, stand, come, stay), "Identifying an Object by Its Scent" (commands to sniff and search), and "Selecting an Object Belonging to the Handler by Its Scent." Additionally, over 50 service dogs, ranging from three months to eight years old, including German Shepherds, Eastern European Shepherds, Central Asian Shepherds, and Belgian Malinois, showcased their pedigree levels in a designated area.

This competition provided all participants with an opportunity to exchange knowledge, skills, and experience. Final Results:
