The conference, dedicated to issues such as the crimes occurring among military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and employees of law enforcement agencies, their causes, prevention and early containment of offenses, particularly specific types of crimes, and the potential for developing science in the fight against crime, took place at the University of Public Safety. Speakers included members of military courts, military prosecutors, professors and educators from higher military educational institutions, as well as practitioners and researchers in the field of law enforcement. Indeed, military personnel and law enforcement officers play a crucial role in ensuring law and order and security. Their activities are associated with high risks, and they often find themselves in situations that require complex decision-making. However, practice shows that violations of the law sometimes occur in these fields, damaging the reputation and trust in state bodies. Crimes committed by representatives of the authorities can lead to negative consequences for society as a whole, causing dissatisfaction and loss of trust among citizens. The conference emphasized on the importance of cultivating high moral and ethical standards among military personnel and law enforcement officers, focusing on education and training. It highlighted the need for professionals not only to understand the law but also to grasp the responsibility that comes with serving society, ensuring that each military service member and law enforcement employee comprehends their role in the justice system and the significance of adhering to the law. Additionally, the conference explored successful practices and examples from other countries that have implemented effective programs for preventing crime within law enforcement agencies and military structures. Proposals and recommendations were made for developing effective mechanisms and strategies aimed at preventing crimes committed by military personnel and law enforcement officers.
