History of the department:

In 2004, the department of "armored tanks and vehicle technology" within the Public Security University of the Republic of Uzbekistan was separated from the Department of Tactics and General Military Sciences of the Tashkent Higher Military-Technical University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan as a separate department from the vehicle training cycle. The department was headed by Yevgeny Shmerkovich Umansky, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Akmal Djuraevich Redjabaev, Candidate of Technical Sciences Bakhodir Bakhriddinovich Urazaliev, Khalil Khafizovich Kujakhmetov, Botir Makhkamovich Karabaev, Ildar Faritovich Khojatov, Khalil Khafizovich Kujakhmetov, Isametov Mirali Mirjamolovich. From April to November 2017, Ildar Faritovich Khodjatov, and from January 2018 to the present, candidate of technical sciences, professor Khamidov Gaybulla Saipillaevich has been working as the head of the department.

Purpose of the department:

Provides cadets with modern knowledge and skills on the structure of military equipment, which plays an important role in ensuring public safety, their use, maintaining constant combat readiness, ensuring traffic safety on roads and preventing road traffic accidents. . In addition, it conducts scientific research on the management of combat vehicles in difficult road conditions, increases the tactical and technical performance of military vehicles, and prepares scientific and pedagogical personnel.
The team conducts classes with the introduction of modern pedagogical methods of teaching, information and communication technologies. For this, the department is provided with the necessary teaching-methodical base and literature. Professors with sufficient scientific and pedagogical activities are working in the department.

The department "Armored tank and vehicle equipment" serves for the training of professional personnel with knowledge and skills in the management of vehicles and combat equipment for the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan, their maintenance and effective use of equipment.
It also prepares personnel with legal and technical knowledge who will organize traffic, ensure and control traffic safety, and perform qualified investigation of traffic accidents.

In recent years, many achievements have been achieved by the department. In the project of applied research for 2019-2021 presented by the Ministry of Innovative Development, the research work of the associate professor of the department D. Akhmedov was recognized as the winner and awarded with a certificate. 600 million soums were funded by the Ministry of Innovation and Development for the financing of scientific researches for two years. This is the first state grant in the history of the institute. Also, three software patents were obtained by the Intellectual Property Agency. The tradition of "Master-disciple" is well established in the department. In the academic year 2018-2019, under the leadership of the deputy head of the department, A. Baboev, cadet of the 132nd group, F. Bobodzhonov, took the 3rd place in the republic fan Olympiad in the subject "Automotive technical operation and service" a certificate was issued by the Minister of Education. In the 2019-2020 academic year, under the guidance of the professors of the Department, the cadets of the 2-3 level of the institute took many proud places in the fan Olympiad of the Republic in the subject "Technical operation and service of automobiles", including 4 first places and 2 took the second place and took the 3rd place and was awarded a certificate by the Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education.
